• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

hitch and trailer

Brp is price gouging on most accessories, IMHO. A new pull behind mc camper trailer costs less than an empty 622 trailer.

after market hitch installed by the dealer..he wasnt happy but moving on...when i get the trailer ( non brp) how difficult is the wiring to do.... just to install the hitch was 220 bucks ...I asked if they had a wire harness available and they said brp doesnt sell the wire harness seperate...only difference tween the two hitches is the mud flap and the spyder logo..any info on a universal hook up would be greatly appreciated

See my thread here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...wire-trailer-harness-plus-other-lights-Part-1

The parts guy can get the Y harness for you. You can get a 5 to 4 wire converter at a trailer parts seller, like NAPA or Autozone, or a 5 wire isolator from a place like Wingstuff.com. Rest you can buy locally.

Trailers

the trailer store on line ...was on Ebay ....talked to folks who had both styles of hitches and like i said Identical except for the logo and mud flap...been looking for over a year for a used hitch and trailer and they just arent out there...we have waited and put off enough trips and decided to look else where that was within our budget ...my only delay now is the electrical hook up for the lights on the trailer...im sure im in for another bill to get that hooked up too...

You may want to check Road Dog trailers, the GT model, I have one and it looks sharp. :ohyea:

There are good or at least reasonable buys on 622 trailers out there. Dealers have left over models new but one or more years old. I got the trailer, hitch for 3800.00 a few months after I bought my RT. I know aftermarket trailers are less expensive and many look fine but none of them have the storage space, integrated looks combined with the handling and and ease of access with the dual lids as the 622. But that is just me though, everyone has their own priorities. That is what makes the world go around.
If you are paying to have the factory hitch installed you are wasting your money. it is a five minute job, really! Put it on or take it off in a snap.

Stan,
I agree the hitch itself is easy to put on and remove, It is the wiring harness that is a bit of a bear, some people may shy away from this install. It is definitely an involved install.
