There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hit and Run

One of our riding club members was hit Sunday. My understanding is it looked like a deliberate hit on the pickup drivers part. As I understand it, he and another rider were on one of our local back roads enjoying a nice ride. As they approached a side road the pickup waited right before they got to the intersection and pulled out. My friend made an attempt to stop, even laying the bike down but too late. The driver of the truck then backed up over his bike, shouted curse words and then drove off. The second rider got a description and a tag number and was on the phone to 911 before the truck took off. When the sheriffs deputy got there he called in the tag number. It came back as an invalid number. "Ed" for privacy purposes, is in the hospital with injuries to his eye, large gash apparently down to the bone in his arm, concussion, back injuries, bruises and road rash. He is recovering. Might ride up to the hospital Saturday and see him. Sure wish i could catch that driver as does the rest of our club members.

OMG!!! I thought that kinda stuff was only in the movies?

:yikes: That sounds like ATTEMPTED MURDER to Teddy & I :yikes:

We'll keep your buddy in our prayers for a complete recovery & that this :cus::cus: is caught & brought to justice :lecturef_smilie:

Sorry to hear about your friend...

Legs and more desrve to be broken for stunts like that and I hope that driver gets what he deserves. I wish your buddy a quick recovery!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I agree with the others, this individual needs to be found and brought to justice. Hope your friend recovers quickly. Dale

So sorry to hear about your friend and I do hope he isn't turned off about getting back on a bike. I also hope they catch this guy and throw the book at him and he does a lot of time. Teddy is right it is attempted murder.

So sorry to hear this, hope he heals quickly, and I hope they catch the driver. :yikes:

My friend made an attempt to stop, even laying the bike down but too late.

"Laying" down a bike = an accident. Never get off the bike, brakes always stop faster than metal grinding across pavement.

Really sorry to hear about your friend Bruiser, hope he recovers quickly with no lasting effects. It soulds like he had the extremely bad luck of crossing paths with a homicidal wierdo....I sure hope this guy can be brought down.

We sure don't need this kind of crap on the roadways! :gaah: I hope that your buddy heals up okay, and I REALLY hope that the :cus: who did it breaks down in front of a biker bar where they know what he did...

Praying for your friend's quick and complete recovery, and for the responsible person to answer for what was done.

Sorry to hear about this and I hope your friend will recover in good condition and time.
This truck driver sounds like a whacko that gets thrills off of wrecking bike riders.
Lets add Assault with a deadly weapon to that list of charges!

He is out of the hospital and home now. Will be a few months before he goes back to work. One thing I forgot to mention, he is active duty. I'm going to try and get somes pics of his bike. Thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts. Will relay those to him.
