There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Wimp site gives only a very broad brush version of McDonalds. For a far more complete, and accurate, version see the movie "The Founder" - the story of Ray Kroc. He wasn't the nice guy pictured by Wimp.
As for McDonalds, I remember well my first visit to one in the mid-60's in SoCal. It was awful and I never went back until the late 60's when the Big Mac was introduced. The Big Mac then was nothing like it is today and is the primary reason I haven't been to a McDonalds in years. About the only reason I would go now is if there are no other better choices (rare) and I am in a hurry (or on the road or don't want to experiment with a mom and pop). The only item I would buy is the Egg McMuffin. Nothing else is worth the money.

Back in the last century I bought lunch at a McDonalds. Double cheese burger, French fries, apple pie and a coke. The burger tasted funny. A month later I order the same and the burger again tasted funny. I have never had another since.
The only thing I will eat there now is the egg mcmuffin.
