• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

highway pegs

I haven't pulled the trigger on buying these yet but If your kind of tall and need to stretch out I think Lamonster FBB highway pegs would work well.

I have a 2014 RTS and would like to get opinions of which highway pegs are the best.
The facetious answer, and then again really not, would be the ones that fit you best! It's little bit like asking who makes the best hamburger! I'm going to assume you mean best in terms of fit as none of them, I don't think, are going to be sturdy enough for you to stand on. You really need to just search here for the various threads about pegs because some are high, some are low, some are close in, and some are farther out. So the ones that are the best will be the ones that let your legs feel the most comfortable. That varies a lot.

As for me, I use Lamont's NBV brackets but I added my own custom extension so my legs and ankles were more comfortable. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...eg-mounts-My-mod-for-it&highlight=lamont+pegs

I received one short comment on Rivco highway rests. Is there anyone else out there that have these? Would appreciate any comments about them.

Rivco makes a nice setup they work well and are strong enough to stand up on
they will hold your weight.

I am not bashing anyone's product, but to say that you can stand up on them???? I can't see where anybody's highway pegs are strong enough to stand on. Floorboards are something else but where do they get the support for you to stand on them?? Help me out here because i was not aware of any that would be that stout.

Rivco, they only way to go and the easiest to mount. Chrome or black. Used them on two Spyder RT's and several leaners.

The Rivco pegs do look nice but I have a question. Lamonster notes in his FBB video a competitor whose brackets sit on top of the lower black fin and will prevent the floorboard breakaway safety feature. Looking at the Rivco brackets they seem to be further in and over those fins. Do the Rivcos in fact interfere with the breakaway feature. If so that would automatically disqualify them for me no matter how nice. Not trying to start a brand war or anything - I am new and just looking for good, safe products that don't compromise on built in safety, regardless of brand, sponsorship, etc.

Right on the money! I for one am just not suited to them at all. Having my legs splayed out like they would be with all the sets I've seen makes me feel like I'm headed for some king of medieval torture machine. Most important, my old bones are supremely comfortable with my feet just positioned as far forward on the floorboards as they can go.
