• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is everyone's opinion on the position of the custom dynamics highway peg location it seems like its to wide to be comfortable the Spyder is very wide right there I'm talking about the RS mounts

Highway Peg Location

I just looked at the Custon Dynamics website and their video. The location of the foot pegs is forward and outside the "bat wings". I'm a 6 footer with a 30 inch inseam, that location just seems too wide for me. I just finished a non-stop 120+ mile ride yesterday, I have home built floor boards which help a lot, I was feeling around while riding to see(feel) if there was a comfortable location for a highway peg. I kinda settled on a location that is above the "bat wings" and higher than the video showed.

That being said, things like floor boards and highway pegs are very personal, what works for one might be all wrong for another. These add-ons cost so much, you don't want to buy something that ends up being wrong for you. Hopefully you will meet other Spyder riders who have various options installed, and they will let you sit on their machine and check feel/fit.

I had the ESI ones on my 2008 GS and I am 6'4"......they were a little wide. I now have the Rivco ones and I think they are not designed for someone with long legs like mine. It makes me feel like I have my feet in stirrups! LOL.

Still looking for a better solution. The kewlmetal ones seem to be more for shorter legs. I want to see someone with the ISCI highway pegs to see how they like them....and how tall they are.

I had the Custom Dynamics' highway pegs and found them to be okay. For me, they were a bit too far forward, but allow you to really stretch out your legs.

Later I installed the KewelMetal highway pegs. The brackets sit back further; which suit me better. I've also heard some good comments on the floorboard style ones as well.

As others have said, your best bet is to try them out. You'll quickly know what fits you best. Good luck!
