• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HIGHWAY GAS MILEAGE

37 MPG :yikes::yikes::yikes: I can only dream. I get around 30, but who cares it is so much fun:yes::yes:

The reason your not getting 37mpg's is because like you said your having fun!
Once someone worries about mileage, They become a rolling roadblock.,
Similar to Hybrid onwers, Trying not to get in the Gas part of the Hybrid car,
Hence always in the way, And not haveing any fun! :dontknow:
[except gas milage braging rites]:roflblack:

As for MPGs, as you can see ...... Your Results May/Will Vary

Bob Denman * Dave,
How is the "Shop Time" pregressing? Is Teddy getting tired of just watching TV on the weekends yet?
:gaah:096.jpg:gaah:189.jpg:gaah:171.jpg:gaah:

I think its safe to say Bob, at this point, we've both succumb to insanity:gaah: Although, Teddy gets to go for rydes everyday, sitting there in his carrier with SunShade overtop, patiently waiting and watching as I dissasemble more and more of his Red Sled, and he get's tossed from side to side as I muscle this or that part from the innards of what was. So sad, you can see the excitement in his eyes, as he feels the byke move, thinking we're taking off now, but it just never happens:lecturef_smilie::sour: One thing leads to another, and so it goes, on & on & on ........

As for the OPs question about MPGs goes, I'll throw in my 2 cents worth here as well. I think much of it also has to do with how you break in a New Spyder, cause usually your MPGs increases once everything gets set around the 1 or 2 thousand mile mark, at least that's been our experience now with different 2 RTs.

Also, I think our local topography lends itself to us being on the lower end of the spectrum, as the Cincinnati area is surprisingly hilly. We usually average in the sub 30 catagory usually around 24-28 & a couple of other local RT owners have reported similar. Allot has to do with how aggressive you are on the throttle, especially at take offs and also, how fast you usually keep it on the highway. In our experience, anything over 70 and it seems to just guzzle the fuel.

I bought the same :f_spider: as you did and I'm getting 30-36 after 1000 miles w/wo 622 in tow. I just tool around 65-68 on freeway. Hope this helps a bit.;) Welcome to the :f_spider: nation:2thumbs:....
