High pitch tone coming from engine area on 2012 RT Limited

I just went out into the garage and I can hear a high pitch tone coming from the engine area of my RT. Everything is off and the key is not in the ignition and I haven't had it running for a day or so?? Anyone know what it could possibly be??

So you did not start it today? Thought it might be the throttle bodies but if you didn't start it then not sure what it could be.

Did you just shut off your spyder in the last 40 minutes, before you went back into the garage?. If you did, the sypder is holding the butterfly valve closed for 40 minutes after you shut it off. This is supposed to aid in restarting a hot engine.

I did have the ignition on just to take it out of park so I could move it. Just went out to the garage again and now I don't hear it, tis a puzzlement!!!!!

First post is right on the money. Just turning on the key and back off will do it.

Yeah! What they said....totally normal. It will do this for about 40 minutes each time you shut the ignition off.
