There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. High pitch sound

Hi,and greetings from Gothenburg Sweden!

I get an anoying high pitch sound at speeds between 44 and 47mph. It doesent matter if in 4,5 or 6 gear and increases when i put some load on the engine. The sound goes away when i release the throttle. Interestingly when i drove in wet conditions the other day, the noise was almost gone ?
Could it be the belt ?

Im driving an F3 SM6, currently 622miles on it.

Thanks!

Is it literally a high-pitch whistle type of sound, or more closer to a vibration that is heard and felt? (BTW, I have a friend over your
way, James Thompson @ Blackbadger Composites that makes some killer rings, keyfobs and such out of CarbonFiber and other stuff)

Very well could be the belt. Check to make sure it's not rubbing on the inside of the sprocket.

More of a sound i guess. I can feel the famous beltvibrations but at higher speeds then around 44-47mph.
I`ll check with Mr Thomson, not sure about where to put the ring? On the drive end pully maybe?

Thanks for your ideas :)

Sorry....the "ring" was a different subject. Literally ring for your finger type. (Very cool stuff be makes)

I will check that:thumbup:. There should not be any contact between the sides of the belt against the drivesprocket right ? I now the belt is very tight on the inside of the rear, 1mm space approx.

Thanks Lamont!

This is the outside"Left" surface of the belt, and it looks like there are some wear.

The inside"Right" looks ok, no marks att all.
Also i checked the drivesprocket and from what i can see the belt is in contact with the left side.

OK My helmet

No it is not the helmet, I didnt have the noise when i drowe my GS so this is connected to the new bike.

I think it is the belt as Lamont said, I`ll try to attach some pictures ;)

made no noise when riding my RTL and makes no noise with the BR windshield. BUT before the Blue Ridge it whistled on my F3s at some speeds.
