There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HIgh idle?

SM5 3100 miles. I made 4 stops today. After 4th stop idle was at 2200 rpms. It usually is 1550-1600 rpms. Stayed at higher rpms for the next 10 mins. Even going through the gears. It felt like the throttle was sticking, but it was not. Made 1 more stop. Shut it down and fired it right back up. 2200 rpms. Went in the store for about 10 mins. When I started it this time everything back to normal. Any ideas to what caused this? Have I missed a thread on this subject?

A few here have reported idle problems. Some have been attributed to bad gear position sensors. Our Spyder has the problem, but it is more variable. Worse after a hot start. Can't tell you the solution, it is in the shop right now for service on this and some other warranty issues. I'll let you know when it comes back home, but it sounds like you need to see your dealer.

new exhaust?

Just wondering, have you changed your exhaust resently? That has caused a little idling problem with mine. I have to disconnect my negative battery terminal for 20 minutes and let the computer reset.

Manual states idle should be 1400 rpm, plus or minus 50. My SE5 idles higher after Hindle install (during which battery was disconnected) but is still within spec. It doesn't idle as well as with the stock muffler, and I get a very faint stutter on some rare upshifts. I've only ridden it an hour or so after the Hindle was installed, so it's possible the the ECU hasn't completely burned in the mapping for the new exhaust.

Pete... after you disconnect the battery for a while, you should let the bike idle for 10-15 minutes without blipping the throttle. That's the complete reset procedure.

I did let it idle for 15 minutes (clocked) then shut off for 15 minutes before riding. My XB1200 Buell would re-map its ECU by cruising at steady highway speeds. I wonder if the Spyder does likewise. The idle quirks I described are very minor and might not be noticed by some. Not a complaint, just an observation.

did you have hid light just installed?
