High beams not coming on when selected or flashed - any ideas?

2014 ST-S.

Today I started the bike and did my "pre-flight" inspection and discovered that the high beam headlights would not come on when hitting the switch to either the high beam or flash settings. The low beams stayed lit in all positions.

Started checking and removing all the fuses and relays and after a few moments of switching them back and forth, the high beam function starting working again, so I attributed it to a loose connection and went upon my ride.

Upon returning home, I rechecked the high beam function and discovered it to be inoperable again. This time, I noticed that when the switch was in the high beam position, the lights would remain on in the low beam setting, however, the lights would flicker during different engine RPMs. They would remain steady as usual when in the low beam setting.

Any ideas or thoughts on what I may be checking on further?

Have had similar issues & either was the H4 bulb & or loose connection at the bulb.(Found w/o fuses) Sitting on bike the Lh would stay low beam could give lens a bump/whack & would flick to H like the R side. Maybe roads or whatever but that side also burned out more frequently. Upgraded to Led in 19 & been ok so far (Knock on wood) caution fooling with as that tight space also leads to the “VOID” so if drop anything won’t find it without removing just about all front tupperware. Good luck.
** originally noticed from daylight stoplight reflection from tailgate on truck (tailgate maybe out of shape) so confirmed later, parked in front reflection at corner store, could attempt testing without singling /confusing traffic**
