• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hidee Ho from another Newby...

welcome and :congrats: Like you I fell in love with the Spyder the first time I saw one. I took a test ride in the summer of '07 and I knew I would someday own one.

Ohhh yeah... Love the look. On the test drive down the feeder road around the highway, sometimes it felt like it wanted to do a wheelie. Has enough grunt for me...

welcome W tried one, having been on 2 wheels. Fell in love. Ordered. Now all farkled out (bags, sway bar, seat, bars, etc.). :ohyea:

Haven't done much yet. Had to change out the pipes first of all. Put Two Brothers on and Spydee sounds alot better now. Still figuring out what she wants to look like.

Welcome!

Been lurking on this board for long enough and decided to join the party.

At the beginning of time, I rode my own. Hubby and I loved to take road trips and have been from Washington State to Key West. Many adventures along those roads... I haven't been able to ride my scoot for the past four years due to health reasons. Never really got into being a passenger on a bike. Some people love riding behind, some people don't. The 2009 spring Rally season was coming up and we were looking for something for me to putz around the campgrounds on. I discovered and fell in love with the Spyder. Found a dealer, had a test ryde and the rest is history.

So now I ryde a 2009 Phantom with a foot shifter. (Still learning the terminology.) Had Two Brothers pipes put on and have a passenger pillion (sissy bar?) so Hubby can experience the ryde too.:f_spider:

Last month Hubby and I were ryding up Kluge towards Grant. We passed another couple going the other direction, and one was Ryder! Woo Hoo! If that was you, or you know who it was, would love to hook up and go ryding sometime.

Thanks,
Joy

welcome from a fellow TXN as well. I'm currently clear up here in the northern panhandle.
