I have a disease... I call it..."Imagonna" Basically it goes like this... I am a gonna do this... I am a gonna get this to make that better... and so on and so on :roflblack:... Seems as I get older my brain refuses to shut off. I am always thinking of the next project, or item and so on. My wife calls it my Mistress :shemademe_smilie:. I tell her at least I am always home with tools in hand, and she knows the truth

Now that is out in the open :yikes:... on to why I made this thread
hyea:
I am looking for help. In another persons thread I made a comment about there not yet being a quality HID system for the RT's that I have been able to find. Some great advice was coming in, but I hate feeling like I am hijacking another persons thread, and that others would miss out on the info...
So my next two (I think) upgrades for our RT-S once BRP makes things good again, is the front sway-bar and HID's.
Any suggestions?
Some thoughts....
HID's
I have had some experience with good/bad/ and outstanding HID systems. Cost is all over the place so it cannot be used to much as a reference to the quality.
Sway-Bar
We load up our RT-s pretty good still. Wife is getting MUUUUUCH better at leaving more and more at home when we go for a ryde. I think she got the hint When I agreed to go shopping with her during a "Purse" hunt. ABout 45 minutes into this "Painful" experience
, I grabbed the smallest black Coach purse I could find and.... well you know. Now she loves that purse for ryding instead of the small luggage she used to bring . But when we are ryding two up (80% of the time at least) the bike dips a lot in the front end.
Turns smooth, goes straight down the road and does not wonder at all in a straight line... But we have the front shocks set at max, and the rear shock was set at max, till it died. But then again, a rear shock is not going to have that much of an impact on the front end when fully functioning I would think.
Anyway... We live in a pretty hilly environment that includes a serious amount of turns. Unless your on a hwy or freeway, there are not to many straightaways for us to relax in
So I am thinking a stiffer sway-bar would help reduce the front end dipping in the turns (We turn left, bike dips right), and help keep the VSS system from kicking on IMHO to soon. Yes?
In the past I always replaced the shock and exhaust on any new ryde. But I think the RT-S shocks are actually pretty good up front, and just need a little more support to blossom even more. :dontknow:
So where do I go to get the HID's and the Sway-bar? Which ones? Thanks for all of your help and input!

- Bad... Advertising good, receive them, find they are cheap made in China(Etc), not water tight, and blow out fast.
- Bad... Some systems actually need an additional power source (Wiring kit) directly from the battery with a Relay. I find many companies do not know what vehicles do or do not need them.
- Good. Quality product and kits. But do not last long. HID low beam, Halogen is the High Beam.
- Outstanding. OEM Quality, service, has the end caps on the headlight bulbs themselves to not blind those coming towards us, high and low beam are HID, Kit is included, Color is not the "Hip" Blue, but the "Winter White". Makes the rainy roads look dry at night/clear as day, or what I call daylight lighting at night.
