• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HID Install on an RT - from Phil's Monster Mods Thread

The pdf file (link at bottom) documents with detailed text and step by step photos how to install HID lights on a Spyder RT. When I was getting ready to do this on my Spyder I searched the forum for anyone's prior description on how to do this easily. What I found was Phil's Monster Mods thread (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?24907-Phil-s-Mods&p=354746&viewfull=1#post354746). This is the best set of detailed how to anybody could wish for. In fact is was so good I wanted to print it out and use it as the instruction sheet for my installation. However, printing directly from the forum does not give you a nice document in an easy to use format. I decided to extract the HID installation instructions from Phil's thread and reformat it and post it here in the "how to do" board so it could be easily found and used by others wanting to do the same mod.

I take no credit (or blame) for the instructions, photos or comments included. I did not change or edit any content. I only changed the format. Where detailed photos were needed I left them a larger size to keep them easy to see. Others I reduced the size to keep the total page count down. Without reformatting printing directly from the thread yielded 30 pages. The pdf is 12 pages.

Don't forget to thank Phil for his well documented mod.

Attached file FAIL! File was too large to upload so here is a link to where I posted it.
