• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HID in foglight doesn't work

Recently i installed the fog lights with 3000k hid kit, but my fog lights don't work and the switch is always lit up. I also connected the regular H8 bulb to see if it worked and no power to the H8 bulb either.

I found out that Depending on the year of your Spyder RS, 2010 and 2011 have to be turned on via the ecu, any brp spyder dealer can do this in about a minute. Under the setting page in B.U.D.S. the fog light option needs to be turned on.

Is there a way to do this without having to go to the dealer?? Has any other 2010&2011 RS owners have had this problem?

I just had the dealer try to install hids on my rs but they really screwed it up...the ballasts needed to be relocated to stop interferring with the electrical system but they were unwilling to move them...instead they took my hids out despite the fact that the vendor, XENON, sent them a detailed email regarding the install...Don't know if this is the same problem you have but try relocating the ballasts.

I actually put on the hid for headlight(12000k) & foglights(3000k) at the same time. No problem with the headlights, works fine and love the color. But no power for the foglights!

I'm not experienced enough to give you more advice on this...Maybe Lamont or Scotty or one of the other folks that know something about hids can help...I'll be watching with intest as I still have a new hid setup that I'd like to get installed.
