• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome to the Forum ve2plq - you hafta be a Ham Radio Operator with a Call-sign like that! Are you? :dontknow:

It'll take a while, usually not too long, to finalise all your joining processing, and until then, you can only post in this Welcome section where not too many visit regularly, so you probably won't get too much in the way of answers here. Once your joining processing is complete, your Username/Callsign will turn Blue like SpyderBOT's and you'll be able to post your question out on the more frequented Public Pages... Shouldn't be too long.

In the meantime, if your 'wobbling' & braking concerns are mechanical, it's all probably due your Wheel Alignment &/or the OEM Tires - these Spyders are notorious for leaving the factory &/or dealers with awful wheel alignment, and the OEM Mendas are quite prone to balance &/or 'Out of Round' issues. Getting the wheel alignment checked/corrected is important, and very few dealers can do that properly, so you might want to search for a good alignment place in Quebec and see if they know how to do your Spyder. And with any luck, you'll also be able to find someone local who can properly balance & check those front tires.... the back is nowhere near as critical, but it will almost certainly wear out in the middle, and quite quickly too! Most replace the tires with 'real' car tires as the rims are car rims and the tires/tires needed are NOT motorcycle tires! :lecturef_smilie:

Once you know those two things sorted, it's a matter of relaxing and being VERY Gentle in your steering input - relax your shoulder & elbows, let them drop and don't grab onto the handlebars too tightly. Scan the toad ahead out as far as you can see, and gently guide the Spyder down your chosen pat, DON'T try to correct for every little bump or wobble, just aim waaay ahead & look at where you WANT to go, gently & smoothly guiding your Spyder as you go. Try it, you might be surprised! :thumbip:

And do check out/read the Do's & Don'ts for new Spyder Owners thread that SpyderBOT linked above - lots of reading I know, but there's a LOT of good information in there that will help you get the best from your Spyder! :ohyea:

Looking forward to seeing you out on the more frequented pages soon! And again, Welcome!
