• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello all. After riding HDs for the last 50 years I have finally realized it's time to go three wheels. My 15' Ultra Limited is for sale and yesterday I bought a 2021 F-3 Limited with 3700 miles. Man have I got a lot to learn! First step is moving the floor boards to position 5 and getting a new brake rod. I like the idea of an adjustable rod to lower the pedal position to make it easier to heel pivot. Second is to get a more comfortable seat. Any suggestions on where to look for either of these items would be appreciated.

Thanks
Straightup

Hi Straightup, welcome to the Forum! I reckon 50 years of riding Harley's shows a lot of character, endurance, & tenacity; which is probably a good thing now that you've moved across to riding Spyders - they might be fairly easy just to sit on and get moving, but for most, especially for many coming from years of riding only 2 wheeled machines, they tend to take while and a fair few miles of riding (1000 plus miles is suggested as the minimum by many! ) to really get used to them and to learn how to get the best from them, but I reckon no matter how many miles it takes you, they're definitely worth it in the end! :ohyea:

However, posting up any questions in this Welcome sub-forum isn't really all that likely to get much in the way of responses - not too many members come in here much &/or read the posts that new members put up in this sub-forum, which is at least partly why SpyderBOT says "Do NOT post support questions here, please post them in the appropriate forum once your account is approved." So far, altho it is already couple of hours after you posted, it's just me'n you who've even seen your post above, and I'd be surprised if that ever grows beyond maybe 5 other members seeing it, no matter how long you wait! :banghead:

Still, it usually doesn't take too long for all your joining processing to be completed, rarely more than a day (unless you've purposefully tried to hide your ID & presence on the internet... but it is only 1 person doing the final vetting ;) ) and once it's all been completed, your username will turn Blue like SpyderBOT's! Once that happens, you can post up in the more frequented parts of the Forum where you're more likely to get some good answers to your questions. ;) Until then, the links SpyderBOT included above do hold info that some if not most new members/Spyder riders find really helpful, so it's probably worth your while to do a bit of reading.... altho there's waaay more than 'just a bit' of reading in the Do's & Don'ts... thread alone - but it's all good info about how to get the best from your Spyder!

Looking forward to seeing you out on the more frequented pages of the Forum soon, once your username turns Blue!
