• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello everyone,

Hello Everyone, Glad to be on-board. I live in Nova Scotia, not form from Truro, if you know the area. I've been a Spyder owner for 2 years now ( 2013 RT) and my wife and I just LOVE it, so much so that she wants one of her own. What have I created ??
Look forward to reading your posts and learning as much as I can about Spyders, and possibly meeting some new riding companions in the area. Cheers All.

Welcome aboard Ron!

Good to see another 2013 RT Owner here, I reckon they are arguably best of the V-Twins with all the Suspension, braking, & handling upgrades that the 2014's got, while still keeping the revvier, peppier, & more exciting motor in the lighter frame & bodywork! Altho there are some 'fairly nice' different models out there now, what with the 1330 motor & the Ryker range, I haven't yet found another Cam Am Spyder/Ryker that's been comfortable & simple enough electronically but still a buzz to ride over & above my 2013 RT to seduce me away from the exciting ryde it provides - one day, maybe... :dontknow:

Has your wife got her motorcycle or trike licence yet?? If not that'll be a good start, but once she gets it, do be prepared to get another Spyder/Ryker PDQ, or you might find yourself spending waaay to much time driving a cage instead of enjoying the wind therapy on your Spyder! :lecturef_smilie:

If you got another, would you be planning on getting something that'd work if you go touring further afield together, or would any 'second trike' be mainly for local ryding &/or booning around? If the former, I'd suggest you consider another Spyder; the latter, maybe a Ryker with it's CVT & their inherent tail sliding happiness, and if you've got a lot of dirt roads & wide open spaces nearby, possibly even a Ryker Rally that's more suited to those lesser traction roads?

Anyhow, now that your Username has turned blue, you can post out on the more public pages; so you might want to start asking for info on all this out there! Sorry I can't help much with the search for riding companions, but I can't hold my breath that long, so maybe some of those more local ryders out there will weigh in once they hear you're around?!

Cheers, and once again, Welcome Aboard!

Peter
