• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello! and thanks!

I just purchased a 2008 GS Spyder. Last week I sold my beloved 1983 Honda GL1100 Gold Wing as I am getting older and felt it would be better if I moved on, sadly. A friend of mine had let me ride his Spyder for a few days to try it out. It is not a motorcycle ride, but a unique ride of its own that I found intriguing. I decided to move ahead and sell my Gold Wing, and purchase his Spyder, so I just took possession today, and doing a lot of reading and searching. I also have a 1982 Yamaha 550 Maxim that I ride to work every day, so I still get to enjoy the motorcycling world. I have worked on my own bikes all the years I have had them; the Gold Wing since 1989, and the Yamaha since it was new! I enjoy tinkering and learning, having worked in machine maintenance for over 40 years I have a lot of tools and experience, but there's always another tool you need, and more to learn about. I am sure I have a whole new world of learning to do with this Spyder and welcome this forum for my foreseeable questions! Thank you for this wonderful group, I look forward to learning a lot. Is there a place where you all recommend vendors for parts and tools? See, my first question!
