• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First post here...

Hi folks - CaptnJim here. (retired commercial boat captain) I am a long time rider, 56 years. All of it on two wheels. While buying another scoot last week, I sat on a Ryker at the dealership while they were preparing my paperwork. Interesting.

I will admit that I haven't had an interest in a 3-wheel bike, but this old dog can learn new tricks. I said the same thing 11 years ago, regarding scooters; but, a deteriorating hip led my wife to suggest that we get a couple small scooters. We have had a lot of motorcyles over the years (9 Harleys, 4 Goldwings, 2 BMWs, and a bunch of other bikes), but I was pretty sure I didn't want to be riding a scooter. So, we compromised... and I bought a pair of Honda PCX 150s. Turns out my wife was right (as usual), and we had a great time with those little scoots. A couple Vespa GTSes for me and a Yamaha Xmax for her. A new titanium hip and I could once again toss a leg over a motorcycle. I am currently riding a Honda CTX w/DCT. I relate all that so you know we are motorcycle enthusiasts and open to new rides.

I am not getting any younger (I know: none of us are). I have no balance issues. But, I was really intrigued by that Ryker I sat on. I signed up for the 3-Wheel Riders Course, sponsored by Can Am - the first opening they had was in April.

We recently moved to the Phoenix, AZ area (from south Texas), after years of urging from our daughter who lives here. We still travel 4 to 5 months per year, hauling our bikes in a cargo trailer behind our motorhome. Our days of long distance riding are behind us, but we enjoy taking the bikes to fun places to ride for day trips.

So, I am here to learn more about Can Am 3-wheelers. Not sure that I'm ready to make that move right now, but I am looking forward to that 2-day class to get some hands-on.

Best wishes,
Jim
