• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Howdy from Chimacum, WA

My friend John and I drove over to Issaquah and bought two Spyder RT Limiteds on July 20, 2021, his in red/chrome and mine petrol/chrome. We hope to take delivery this week. John's taking a 3-wheeler class today and I'm taking mine in early August. We've both been motorcyclists for decades. I started with a Matchless G-80 back in 1968, then had a Norton Atlas, a Honda CB-450, a Honda XL500R, a Honda V-45 Sabre, a Honda V-65 Sabre, and a BMW K1200LT. When Anna and I started RVing in 2009, I sold the Beemer. At 72, I wanted something that wouldn't be a muscle strain, and I've been intrigued by the Can-Ams for a while. Finally screwed up the courage to buy this new toy. Fortunately, our wives both approve.

In addition to motorcycling, I'm a commercial pilot, a scuba diver, an RVer, a photographer, an electrical engineer (retired), an avid cook, especially barbecue, a wine lover, a sailor, an amateur radio operator (hence my name here), and amateur astronomer. Gotta keep the mind active, after all.

After living full-time in an RV since 2009, we decided to hang up the spurs and settle down in an RV park on the Olympic Peninsula, just south of Port Townsend. The cost of living is low, so we can afford to dine out and do some traveling. Our health is pretty good. John and I are talking about taking our Spyders up to Alaska next summer. In my youth, I did a lot of motorcycle touring, camping out along the way. Not sure my body would respond to that now, so motels are probably in the cards.

Here's hoping that this new toy serves as a fountain of youth.
