• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey Speeders- What system you using?

I have the rockymountain radar detector/jammer RMR-C435 and have had great success with it. I know it works as I was going down a street and there was a popo hiding. The radar went off so I slowed down and was going about 10 over the limit and he was staring at the gun then back at me and the gun an back at me. Then he aimed it down and did something but I was long gone and laughing at the look on his face to find out what was going on. Now i'm not saying it'll prevent all tickets but its paid for itself numerous times. Some guns have minor glitches so they think its a glitch and move on. The best thing(so it says) is that its legal as it doesn't send a signal back, from what I understand is the illegal part of a jammer.

Glad it's working for you... but just so others know... Rockey Mountain Radar is not a well respected company in the world of radar and laser equipment. Various lawsuits, bogus advertising, copyright infringements, etc. All of the top radar sites have warnings to stay away from Rockey products.......

Just FYI.....

I suppose Doc is gonna keep his set-up top secret, if he would release info on his set-up I'd go that way..

Sells the whole Cheetah M27 with Vizalert as a package too.

That's what I ordered -- along with the interface for my Escort 8500 x50 that I ordered from another site.

Someone once told me that so I googled it. Like I said, so far its worked for me(knock on wood). I don't expect it to keep me 100% ticket free as I know thats not realistic.

Laser and Radar detector

This one is the only one made for motorcycles but can be used in a vehicle to. It has the technology to resist all the vibration of the bike.

I just got mine and I have been using it in my truck. I will be mounting it on spyder in a few days.

Yeah-- those seemed really versatile... but some of the other units like the Escort and the Valentine 1 were rated and tested better. The Escort 8500 x50 is well liked by bikers and they say it can handle the vibrations really well.

It figures that I would have to live in a state where just about everything is illegal. :hun: :dontknow:

So let me get this straight...... You're concerned about using something that is illegal in your state that would allow you to do something illegal? Lol

speeding is illegal anyways.... So if you're gonna do it...... Might as well use some protection. Lol

Worst they can really do is take the gear. Now if you were jamming RADAR you could spend some time in the pokey!

I can just turn the stuff off while in one of the 'no fun for you' states..lol

should have the gear next week. I'll post pics of the install

Sounds like some advice I have heard many times before. :roflblack:

I didn't say I wouldn't buy the stuff and try it, I just happened to mention I live in one of those illegal states. :D However, since my Spyder tops out at the max interstate speed of 70 mph I don't think I have anything to really worry about.

We also have a new speed shop in the nearest small town. Lots of street racing going on now. Has anyone bothered hooking NOX up to the Spyder? I am thinking a small shot one might be fun to play with.

Not too sure, but I think you can still marry your cousins in SC.:yikes::yikes:

You have SC confused with GA. :roflblack: Here it has to be at least a second cousin as first cousins are forbidden. However, I do believe the legal age for marriage is still 13. :yikes:

I don't know about that, But in parts of South Jersey there's a possibility you might be your own Father :dontknow:

Now that would be an interesting dilemma to say the least. I think that Maury dude could have a blast with that one.

SpydieSenses

+You haven't activated your SpydieSenses?

Make sure to ask your dealer to activate the SpydieSenses option.

It's like you've got a thousand eyes...

Ride on.
Roadkill

9 miles over is the standard in most states. However, it's up to the individual officer as to wheather a citation is issued. Radar detectors/jammers are also illeagle on military installations. Of course you'd be dumb to speed on a base anyway. Virginia is about the toughest state I've seen on fines for detectors and jammers. By the way, they have finally raised their speed on I95 to 70 mph, however, pay attention because it changes rapidly in different places. In NC you can normally run 80 mph on most interstates without to much trouble, except on 95 from Kenly to Dunn and through Lumberton. I run 95 almost daily and see few to no SHP troopers. :dontknow:

I have an Escort 8500 on my bike and it works OK.
I have Valintine Ones in my cars and they are far better. (I mean WAY better) I could not justify the cost for the bike so I went with the 8500.

If you want the best, get a V1

First... I would never, ever speed. :yikes:

But, I have two Valentine Ones... for the car and the bikes. It is the only detector that shows where the radar is... in front, behind or to the sides.

According to some detector tests, there MAY be other more sensitive detectors but... all top line models greatly exceed the effective range of the radar.

I have an 8500 setting in a box somewhere... was not impressed.

With that said, none of them will effectively protect you from LASER. When it goes off, it's too late. I haven't tried the jammers yet only because I don't speed... like I said. :roflblack:
