Here's what happens.....

when you don't ride every day! I didn't ride yesterday (Sunday) and left the shop door open most of the day. This is what I found this am. I kept noticing Mr. & Mrs. Wren chirping about but didn't put the equation together until I started to get my helmet. War Dept. says its time for a new helmet anyway. Oh, well......

Wrens are very industrious and quick when it comes to building a nest. I've had to shoo them out of our garage several times this past week. Found the beginnings of a nest in my tool belt, on top of a cabinet and on a shelf.

I once threw my helmet on without inspecting it and it had several hornets hanging out in it. Not much fun. Dont do that anymore always taking a look.

Believe it or not, I gently removed the nest and put it in an old trophy helmet with deep scratches on one side (that's another story).Same location. I noticed about noon today they were back busily straightening it up and adding more twigs, etc. I'll post another pic later. I guess I'll have to leave the door open now so they can come and go. God, what all a man has to go through to be a nature lover!!! It's not too hard. smoky
