2 reasons for that. They look faster than the are, and the Speedo goes to 200 km/h. On the originals, this was analog so it showed all the time. With the advent of the digital gauge, this is switchable.

The original V-Twin GS & RS probably have the highest top speed. The F3 next with the RT bringing up the rear. The real nemesis of top speed for the Spyder is frontal area. Just too much wind resistance.

Put a barn door windshield on and watch your top speed and fuel mileage go down significantly.

Must be something wrong with my RTL as it certainly does more than 70 mph even though I have never had it flat out. The article gives it 2 tops speeds 70 mph and 112 mph, another BS article compliments of AI.

Didja notice that not only do they suggest that the RT's can only hit 70 mph, but also they suggest that the Ryker 600 will go 12 mph FASTER than the Ryker 900?!

Being small and nimble, right down close to the ground like they are, I bet they FEEL like that, but whoever 'wrote' that article has got A WHOLE LOT completely wrong!!
