• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here are my new mods. What do you think?

that looks great ... :agree:

I would guess the Muzzy exhaust is 1/4 the weight of stock muffler... how much louder?

also did you replace the whole pipe and cat. converter? or just the muffler?

how much more fuel you adding on your map to keep it from running lean. with all the extra air in and out of the bike...

What's the difference between the older juice box and the pro that looks different than the one I just bought two years ago ??

The main dif. between the JB and JB pro is that the JB Pro is customizable and has more than one pre-loaded maps, in the case of the RT it has three, stock, improved stock, and with slipon muffler. I wish it would have muffler and filter but as of now they do not have a map for that. If Two Bros. comes out with an air filter for us I guess they will add more. If they do you can down load through a USB cable.

As far as the ? about fuel, I am running the program for the slip-on muffler. I tried running 10% more fuel with that program and in my openion it was more slugish so as of now I run there exact program for the slip-on with no fuel additions or subtractions. I am not sure how much extra HP I have at WOT but the power band is much wider and smoother. I never liked running below 5500 RPM before but now 3500-4000 is fine. I almost always ride two up and that is so much better. This was well worth the time and $!!!! I got the Muzzy and head pipe on eBay for $200.00. It was a new old stock item a dealer was trying to clearance so I save a ton there.

As far as the ? about how loud it is. It has a low smooth tone. It is louder than stock but not near like a Harley. At highway speed you can talk back and forth just like before. Personaly I would prefer a smidge louder but I thought it sounded good with no pipe :2thumbs:. It will not annoy anyone but does not sound like and old man bike anymore, sorry no offense. Muzzys just sound so perfect.

If you remove your stock muffler you will c...p when you see how much they weigh. This Muzzy is there titanium series so it is very light...muffler and head pipe are only 7 lbs. I would guess our stock muffler has to weigh close to 30 lbs. maybe someone else here knows for sure.

If I can help anyone who would like to try any of this just ask. Oh and yes under the seat is perfect for mounting the JB Pro and can be gotten to easily for updates.

Oh forgot to add that the JB Pro also takes care of the closed loop portion of the map where the JB does not. That is a huge plus.

the only thing is there shops that are JB Pro tuners? where you can get the Spyder on a Dyno to get it tuned since the slip on muffler is probably lower fuel for what you have...

I assume its like DynoJet where you can get in and tweak each fuel cell by RPM and throttle. so you would need someone with the software and a Dyno to get it tuned in for your setup.

so it looks like you kept the cat converter and just did the muffler upgrade only.... looks nice ...

Yes you can adjust much like the Dynojet but without a dyno it is just a shot in the dark. I do plan on removing the cat. I just havn`t had the time yet. This is my theory- The heat that so many people dont like on the right side is usually blamed on the hot air from the radiator but if you look close, the rear cylinder pipe runs just inside the outer shell of the right side. The front cylinder comes in more to the rear of the cat but much further from the side panel on the left. The cat is fairly centered. When you are riding and your right foot is hot, reach down and feel the hot air coming from the opening on the side and then move your hand from there to your foot and you will see that the heat is not that bad as you get to your foot. Now put your hand on the metal body panel next to your foot and feel the heat radiating from it. Now feel your boot on the inside and outside and see which is hottest. I know you get heat from the radiator opening but I think it is a smaller part of the problem. I think you can remove the cat which gets hotter than h.... anyway and make a Y-pipe to connect both front and rear cylinders and run the pipe down the center as much as posible. I don`t think there is a HP gain to be had but you will shed some weight and some heat. These cats flow pretty good I think and don`t create much back preasure. The other thing that makes this safe is the fact that our O2 sensors are before the cat. Anyway I am willing to do this and give feedback on the results. I may be all wet behind the ears on this one and I know you will still get heat from the radiator but I think it will be much less overall. Sorry I am so long winded but I would like all your openions on this.

i think if you get it mapped correctly without the CAT you will bring the temp down. more fuel means the engine runs cooler...

get more air in and add more fuel and you should get more HP.

but you will need to Dyno with an o2 sensor to map the spyder correctly.

doing a straighter exhaust will allow more air flow out the exhaust easier... but you still need some back pressure for performance in the exhaust... those who have straight pipes actually lose HP over those with some back pressure... see here - http://www.bigcitythunder.com/pages/thundermonsters.html
