Henry Golden Boy

My son and daughter in law are both working on getting their concealed carry permits. I'm contemplating a collector rifle. It's a Henry Golden Boy 22LR. What do you think?

I like the golden boys. Never shot one, but friend of mine has one and likes it a lot.
Dont really see it as a collector rifle as they made a lot of em.

The Henry is a great rifle. .22LR are fun to shoot and much less painful to the wallet than larger calibers, too!!

I did have one of the originals, part of a gun collection stolen from me when I lived in Texas. It was a great rifle and fun to shoot...:sour:

It would have to be new manufacture. The original was 44 rim fire.

Like the Golden Boy in 22LR. I do not have one. Decided to get a Savage B-mag .17 WSM. Wish I would have gotten the Golden Boy. Looking to get a Henry Big Boy in .357 Mag. now. Let us know how you like it, if you get one.

Your picture depicts the standard model. The Golden Boy has a Brass receiver, I believe. It's a little more expensive.

Somebody posted it was hard to get .22LR ammo. I have had no issue with that...anyone else have problems getting it?

Can't be found anywhere in my area. I'm told when Walmart gets a few in someone will buy it all the minute its put out for sale.

Same here. But our walmart will only sell ya 2 boxes, but its always gone in minutes.

:agree: Gunbroker at INFLATED prices it can be had. I bought a Mossberg AR 22lr it is lotsa fun. I did get over 1000 rnds when I got it. I have a few boxes of Troy Landry (Swamp People) 'Choot 'em hollow points but the CCI Ar 22lr boxes are getting harder to find.
