There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HELP!!!!!!

Hey Everyone. I need Help in regards to the wind bobble head issue on my 2008 GS. I have tried everything that i could think of to reduce or eliminate this problem. Here is a list of what i have installed on my spyder.
-Corbin saddle ( it changes my riding stance)
-Highway peg from Kewl metal.
-3 way adjustable handlebars (awesome)
-Madstad Robo-brackets tried with (BRP 23" ultra touring, Givi 21")
-I have the BRP hybrid helmet (maybe this is the problem?)
I am so frustrated  with this. Maybe i'm a little too picky but when I ride at highway speeds I want to relax!!!! So this being said, any sugestions on what else to do, or do i have to get rid of it for the RT. Will this move to an RT solve the wind????:banghead:
Thanks

Take a breath. Big trucks and strong gusts aside, you've got the solution with the Robobrackets and touring windshield. Had a similar issue when I had my RS. Had the same shield w/Robo. It took countless adjustments and experimenting, but finally got it right and no more bobblehead. I suggest keep adjusting till the angle, etc., is right for you.

You might need to go to a bit taller windshield so that you can get the air rushing past up over the top of your helmet. If you can adjust the angle of the screen, be aware that pushing it too upright might even make it worse since it could cause more turbulence.

These solved the bobblehead issue on my RS-S (along with a Madstad 20" windshield):

Look at the design of the RT. As much attention was paid to air coming around the sides of the Spyder as was to the windshield. When air comes around the sides it creates a turbulence with air coming over the top and can result in the flow being directed at the rider's helmet. You can't always resolve this problem with a windshield alone. These deflectors work so well that when the weather gets really hot you may want to remove them to restore wind flow.

Thank you I was wondering if anyone remove these in the summer.. Mine are coming off tonite

Windshield height can be a big part of the problem. I put tall windshields on the RS's and never experienced any problem.

side deflectors

i had to take mine off when the weather warmed up. they work well. i ride rather tall in the saddle so i have my madstad up about as high as it will go, and a little beyond paralell at the upper end of the brackets. works good for me

At some point you have to realize your out in a open vehicle and there's going to be some turbulence,
I found out that a windshield will help with most of it, But some times the most overlooked thing is the helmet. Some helmets will catch the wind more than others, Especially a lose fitting one. Or one with a lot of vents.

So tonight I went out and purchased a new full faced helmet. I also put on those side air deflectors. I completely forgot I had them. Wow for the first time my head stayed straight. They might not look the best but wow they work. I can see the heat might be an issue but I rather the hot then a sore neck.
Thanks again for all the replies.
I just had to be patient. I love my :spyder2:
