• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello Everyone,

Okay here is my story. I hope someone can help me. I have a spyder rt 2015 limited. I was putting in a dual usb today. I tapped into the neg and positive on the connection that goes to the hot and cold gauge. I saw a video on spyder tv in how to do it. I tapped into the wires and just tried to see if it would work so i cut on the ignition and the usb work, i then cut the ignition back off. so i fed the wires and connected the usb and put it in place. i went to go try it and the dash does not light up and spyder won't crank. it does nothing when i turn the key. I dont know if i touched the wires to something when i fed them or if i connected them wrong. so i read on the internet that it might be the relay R2 pre start. so i took it out. The socket that the R2 relay goes into does not have any power going to the relay. my husband check it with his meter. so i have no idea whats going on. could it be that when i tried the usb when i switch the ignition on i didn't wait till it loaded and cut it off too soon and did something to the computer/Nanny. i would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks, Lois

I would start by checking the fuses, particularly the one that feeds R2 (I don't know which one that is but maybe someone else does).

Yep already check all the fuses.
Thanks, Lois

It does nothing when you turn on the key.

Just a tip, Lois. Don't just look at the fuses but take them out and check them with the meter. Both the top row and the bottom row of fuses in both boxes. If nothing happens when you turn on the key - if the cluster is dead - it's probably not a pre-start relay problem, but instead something upstream of that powering the main relay(s). The pre start relay is operated by the start button. Your problem is way upstream of that.

Is it possible the 'kill' switch has been moved to the kill position?

After reading Dead F3 display and will not start thread, i went out to the bike pulled the #7 fuse and guess what it was blown. Replaced and the bike started. Damn I am happy. Thanks guys!!!

Lois

I had the same happen to me. Pulled the fuses one by one, held each one in front of a light and darn it, they all looked good but still no go. Decided to change each fuse one at a time until the culprit showed up.

How nice...

Always nice to see the solution to the problem all in one thread. :clap:good service here and at a great price....
