• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2010 Spyder RSS SE5 and i noticed the "BRAKE FAILURE" scrolls across screen when I was riding the other day. Brakes seem to be working fine. I need to know how to get the error codes and how to reset. Thank You in advance for your help.

check your brake fluid level and your rear brake pads. Spyder is very sensitive to a very slightly lower fluid levels. The Rear pads wear faster then the fronts for some reason.

Things to check....

First off get the spydercodes app...it's free and will tell you how to get the codes, what they mean and some solutions.

Check you were not ryding with your foot on the brake....
Check the brake fluid level....
Check the brake light switch..they will stick...
Check that all the brake lights are working
Check the brake pads...
Check the brake fluid sensors (if you can)
Turn the spyder off remove the key let the computers reset, maybe 30-45 minutes depending on model, re start and see if the warning cleared and does not come back. Could be a glitch or too long on the brakes on a downhill....

I have checked the fluids and they are full. brake pads are still beefy as there is only 7,100 miles on the machine. I can not find the app you spoke of in the apple app store. I tried the procedure of the headlight flashing switch when in total hours on the gauge and I do not get any codes just the regular scrolling Brake Failure message. What next??
