• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

help with BRP helmet to helmet

Something sounds like it is wired wrong...My wife has the RT-S SE5 with CB/Intercom and it works flawlessly....Clarity and ease of operation is excellent...Intercom works off of VOX and CB works off of the PTT, in stereo no less...Sounds like a dealer trip to me...

I was thinking the same - not any other settings that it seems one can mess with... Okay, off we go! Gotta get the parking brake spring thing taken care of anyway...

I tried out my comm system for the first time last night and found that it seemed to only work when it wanted to, even after reading this thread and adjusting my settings. However, I did find that in order to open the mic, the first word needs to be sort of loud and sharp, like "Hey!" or "Yo!", something like that. Is this normal? I would think that I shouldn't have to do that. I tried it with the VOX in just about every position and they all seem to work this way.
Can anyone confirm that my system is working as designed?

Mine works great and without missing a word or shouting. So if it's not the settings or mic placement I would guess something is wrong in the system.

If the microphone is too far from your lips, or not directly in front of them, this can happen. Try adjusting it until it is barely touching your lips, or no more than 1/8" away and directly in front.

The funny thing is that I had both helmets connected, sitting on the seat and I had my lips up against them and anywhere from a half inch to 3 or 4 inches away and I got nothing, trying each of them one at a time. After slipping on one helmet at a time, I did the same and got the same results, other than it opening the mic to the quick shout. We're planning to take a short ride this evening and will try again with the mics against our lips and I'll let you know what happens.
