• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help with a seat and rear luggage rack please.

Thank you

Also check the sponsor page for value accessories. I bought mine from them a couple of months ago, they had many in stock, so no back order issues. Great customer service. 121.95 is their asking price. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your time. I will certainly check out Value Accessories. Great customer service is hard to find these days. Thanks again. Mark

Well.... I don't want to brag but......

In my opinion, there is only one good seat. that would be a custom made seat from
motorcycledave, :thumbup:ask anyone here that has one. Call me if you are interested.
Thanks
Dave

We love our 2013 RT Ltd, but at 33,000, it sure is a poor seat. Lots of other bells and whistles that all work well, and add to the enjoyment. Not a great seat though. Corbin or Ultimate are the only ones I've seen so far. And the large chrome rear rack I keep seeing on sites. Has anyone used one? Would appreciate any help please.

Nice advice

I am looking for a nice trunk rack as well, I had the wire rack made by one of our sponsors on the last bike and it served me well but it looks a bit crude. I want to see my 3rd break light when done so the ones that follow the angle down wont work even though the style and finish are perfect. There are two other styles I found as well but neither are look right, the one mounts to the side of the lid and looks too bulky, the other mounts to the top of the lid but the legs coming down are ugly. I understand these are called Spyders but I don't want anything that looks like a spyder web or pictures of "spiders" as part of the design.
Thank you for your helpful advice. I'm not thrilled about the look of the big rack, but it certainly appears to be functional. I have yet to add extra lighting, as of yet, but i will be. We only bought the, late last fall. I have looked at the LED stirp that hides in the lid opening and/or the ring that surrounds the rear logo. Either should work with the large rack. Thanks again. Mark

Winter

just installed the Ultimate seat with driver backrest, looks awesome but haven't had chance to ride with it because of weather.
I'm not sure where Hamburg, NY is, without looking it up, but I'm directly across from Ogdensburg, NY, in Canada. We're almost neighbors. What a winter! They'll still be snowbanks in May. I'm leaning more and more towards the Ultimate, as the days pass. Thanks again. Mark

Rack

Thank you for your reply. Your rack appears to be black, in color, or are my eyes playing tricks? Thanks again. Mark

The color is chrome, when I took the pic I did not have enough light. Maybe it was your eyes, mine do tricks also (cause I'm old)

Thanks Dave, for clarifying the chrome finish. Ya, I'm behind a pair of glasses now days, and they do play tricks sometimes. And, just recently, hearing aides! What's next? I keep telling myself that aging isn't so bad....I'm simply gaining more experience as the days ( years ), pass by.
Thanks again,
Mark

I took my chrome rack and had it powder coated black, it seems to blend in with the bike now, if you want to see a photo send $39.95 to [email protected] (trying to recoup some of my farkle money :roflblack:) i will post a photo later.

I have the rear chrome rack from Big Bike Parts (about $135.00) and am well pleased with it. i will try to put up a photo of it shortly. Can't help on the seat as i have the 2014 RTS and the new seat is a lot more comfortable.

Trunk Rack

Hey cruzer joe, what is that good looking bag on your rack, and where can I get one? It looks like a perfect fit. Are those the Rivco flag holders on your Spyder? The bag seems to fit perfectly between them

Those are Rumbling Pride Flag Holders and a kuryakyn round bag. The only problem with the flag holders are when you put the cover on the bike, they stick up too high.

Trunk Rack Issue

I really appreciate your help. The rack does look good, and certainly large enough to function, as intended. Does your co pilot like the armrests? I've been looking at those as well. I was just concerned about their strength, as the mounting point is so far from the rests. Should this concern me? It sure is nice to get real help and support, from people, such as yourself. It seems the manufacturers and retailers are good at posting all the positive reviews. Thanks again!Mark

We installed the trunk rack on two 2012 RT LTD, but both trunk covers cracked; so, we have to replace them. We're thinking we over-tightened the bolts--YIKES! We've purchased some plastic grommets to fit larger holes, and then connect the rack through those. Any advice for us, as we want to try them again.
