:yes::yes: Woo Hoo! It's not stuck anymore! Having had some negative experience with swapped cables damaging the key switch on my RT, I thought, "oh great, I probably can't lock the handlebars now!" So, I just went out and tried it -- they locked without any problem. After I unlocked them, I gave the key a FIRM push in and turned it toward the wrench …. AND IT WORKED! So, I guess the action of locking the bars must have moved things just enough to free whatever was bound.:clap::clap:
GRRRRR …. of course I don't find the following until AFTER the shop is closed. Briefly, had to have all the locks changed on my brand new F3 Limited because the selling dealer lost the lock for the rear trunk (and they are a set). So, of course the key switch was changed as part of this process. Now, the cable that releases the passenger seat is clearly bound up … meaning I cannot get the passenger seat off (at least not by pushing down and turning the key towards the wrench). The frunk still unlocks, so the cables are not swapped (had that happen on my RT). But, I really do need to get that passenger seat off as I am ready to do some installs.
Surely, someone has faced this problem before on an F3 .... at least I hope so. I know Lamont knows the trick to getting the passenger seat off when the cable is bound up (or has broken), but I do not want to bother him as he has more important things to tackle than my stuck seat.
Suggestions appreciated ..... Ann
