• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help! Stranded in Alabama with frozen ignition.

Your concerns or fears are misplaced. There are many of us here on Spyderlovers that have traveled thousands of trouble free miles on our spyders. Apparently by your last sentence you still ride two wheels and not three. I agree that Yamahammers are a great ride. However, Spyders are too.

Chris

Amen Chris! Some of us have traveled further than others. I just returned from Alaska and had no problems with my Spyder. In fact, I've got nearly 57,000 miles on my 2014 RTS with no trouble at all. I'd take it anywhere anytime, well maybe not intentionally through a snowstorm but anything else is fair game.

Take a step back sometimes folks!

OK so I have been following this post since day one and I am a little appalled by some of you here.

Now that the OP is happy...... I have to point out to some people here that seem their life is posting here.... what the hell is wrong with you!

This was a poor guy STRANDED with a problem and looking for help. This thread should not be 3 pages long.
Why is it 3 pages long?
Because some people here that seem to live on this forum, have to go to a level where they argue about "he said she said" etc. and then go on and on....

Is there some reason why this could NOT have gone this way? You bet there is!
Give your opinion or answer. Then back off a little is all I am saying....

You do not need to post to every little thing and pollute the post the OP needs information on desperately!
I mean come on.... do you really have to do all this dribble??? What you do is not helping this site and not putting forward a good face to people that really need help. Sometimes it sounds like a "kiddy click" of people that need attention!

I would like to commend a user that seems to always help people and not get into the BS over posting...

akspyderman! He stayed out of the BS and kept telling the OP exactly what needed to be done.

Also Bob Denham for posting good information and not continuing the "he said she said" BS. Bob even though it started..... you refrained! Good man in "letting it go".

Others that also gave direct answer and refrained..... good for you all.....

The rest.... well let me just ask you to read this thread from the start to the end and reflect that IF THIS WAS YOU NEEDING HELP, what would you think of all that went on?

Sorry....... I just sometime hate the interactions of some people here that post in every post just to "get a word in"... Sometimes maybe reflect and back off a little. It makes you look unreliable and sometimes childish.

Bob
