• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hi,*
Last week I had my DPS replaced @ Mid South Motoplex in TN. I also had my 3000 mile service done at a cost of $306.58 while I was there. I rode my bike home when it was done with no notable issues. Today, after not riding for a week due to rain, my 2008 SE5 would not start. It goes through the motions as normal but will not crank up. I also noticed that after I press the "M" button it seems to reset as if I am turning on the bike for the first time and asked me to press the "M" button again and read the safety card. It repeats this over and over again but will not start the bike.

What could this be? I' m not mechanical inclined so I know if I have it towed to the dealer they are just going to rake me over the coals.

I just got back from deployment to Afghanistan and this town is overcharging soldiers for everything because they know we have come back with money saved. It's really a crying shame.

3000 mile service cost

Just had mine done this week in Austin, going rate ot our two dealers is $319 at one (includes parts) and $239 at another and you pay for parts. Opted for the $319 because they were close and could do it within couple of hours, still think it is to much for an oil change and a read out for my RS

Do you have a charger you could throw on it? Sounds like a dead battery to me.

Small world!

Austin TX is where I purchased my Spyder (@ Wood's Fun Center). I agree, that is costly for an oil change. I would love to learn how to do it myself! Austin is a great city! I am planning on returning when my military contract ends : )

Thanks Lamonster!

I am headed to the Auto Store now to buy one. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope that does the trick.

:dontknow:
Are you stepping firmly on the brake pedal when you press the start button??
If you are and it still won't start then i would check the battery terminals at the battery itself.
Sometimes a loose negative cable will cause what your describing.
