I'm several 100 miles away from home in the smoky mountains. On two occasions my check engine light was flashing on and off and I had A limp Home Mode flash across the screen a couple of times. Bike still performed fine. Any idea as to what my problem is?

BUDS is the only way to tell for sure..... Spyders and Rykers have redundant computer systems, which complicates any diagnosis ….. If you dis-connect the battery for 5 to 10 min . this may clear out any small clitches ….. I had an 08 that for years lit up like a Christmas tree … but ran fine ….. good luck … Mike hyea:

When I turn it off for a few minutes, the check engine light goes out

Be sure that you take the key out of the ignition when you turn it off. That will help it to reset. You did check all your fluids right?
