• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am looking to buy a new 2013 Spyder RS while I can still get a $4000 rebate.
I took test rides on both the RS SE and the SM 2 years ago but was not ready to give up my BMW R1100RS, now with my bad knees and the rebate the RS is really calling to me.
However I read the Spyder list and it sounds like there are some real problems with the 2013, what should I do?
Should I buy a 2013, is the 2014 much better or do they both have problems?
I really would like to know so I can make a decision before the end of July!

as far as the the rs thay are all the same it was the 2013 st that had the bad heat, and some rts i have a2013 rt have had no proulbms.so your good to go on an rs or rss.i had an rs befor the rt,the rssean i went for the rt the rs hert my knees real bad from how they are bent soo much when riding .the rt lets your legs with less of a bend.:chat: ride one agin to make sure the bend of the rs doesent hurt your knees also.

:welcome: As far as the RS line-up goes; they got some new bodywork with airscoops for 2014...
That is about the biggest change...
I DO think that some folks have even convinced BRP to send them the new panels for free, in order to stave off potential heat issues.
You're under a REAL tight timeline now...

If you've got bad knees you might want to think really hard about getting the RT instead. Oh, any year RT but the 2013 that is.

Given a choice, rebate or not, I would choose a 2014. Less problems and if you go RT--wow--that's a great machine.
