• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi

I am about to book in for my 20 000 service.

I have hade the recall on steering done

I would like to know what things i should ask the dealer to check in regards to service bulletins that should have been done before hand.

We have a new dealer and the old dealer no longer does services.

I do not know what has or has not been done as i have trusted the previous dealer to take care of these for me.

i still have problems with the park brake sticking, squealing brakes, oil in air box, leaky boot. foggy light when it rains

I have always asked about these at each service and they are fixed but always temporarily and the problems soon reoccurs.

My spyder is serial # PE 970

model no is # a18p

Vin # 2bxjuaua1x8v000970

i have read about a sensor that should be replace ( i beleive) although not sure if it actually relates to my model.

as well as the ground wire issue again unsure if it relates to my model....

a few other items as well but these are the ones i can think of.

I am not mechanically minded and rely on the dealer to do the right thing without me have to throw a tanty. The biggest problem is i am not sure of what to ask nor what service bulletins ect they relate to.....

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Jane

As far as service bulletins go they should know what needs to be done when they plug your Spyder info in.

The other issues, I would bring these up to the new guys and give them a chance to fix it right.

:agree: Your service records should transfer over to the new dealer via the BRP system, too, if the old dealer entered the work correctly...at least any warranty work. Don't worry about the ground wire recall...SE5s only. Doesn't hurt the manual models, but isn't really needed.

welcome have the timeing checked and lights all fluids checked and tire's inflated right ........:2thumbs:
