• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Throttle body issues on my 2011.. ya what else is new? Trying to get BRP to pay for new throttle body.. dealership tried to no avail. I tried calling 715-848-4957 they wont help or give any info as to who to call, go figure.. Anyone have a name and or phone number of someone of importance other than Lupe from customer assistance.. My 2 years of ownership (Spyder) is starting to get ridiculous.. Im just looking for BRP to pay for the part($823) is all..thanks for any info you can provide me with..:bowdown:

Don't know. ..!!

Who to call but you can check your vin # to see if they changed it back when they had all the issues with the throttle bodys. I know some changed them a couple of times. But in the case that no one can get your problem resolved ebay has many throttle bodies for under two hundred...not a big help but a solution...:gaah:

dont think ill do-it-yourself, so ill have to go through local BRP service and pay $823 for TB and $450 labor. Id like BRP to foot the bill$ for just the part(as they should)..checked vin# and nothing, which is what i was expecting,NOTHING..

Thorttle body

I must have been living under a shell, but can someone tell me what is the basic problem with the throttle body(s)?

Thanks

Opie,
I found this in my list of contact information:

"It sounds like any Spyderlover member with a specific
need to contact Steve personally, while they work out
the PM problem, can simply send an email to [email protected] ,
mark their email "Attn: Steven M.", and identify themselves
as a Spyderovers.com member."

I hope that it helps!

It doesn't mean that he can't ask... nojoke
I was a year out of warranty with my 2010, when BRP replaced the throttle bodies for the second time...for free!

:agree: It's all in the way the question is asked. Have heard of many instances where BRP went above and beyond is solving issues. The contact Bob gave is a good one for Steve (the go to person).

The issue of expired warranty also came to mind for me. Let us know what happens.

Had mine done last year on my 2010 RT and the dealer contacted BRP several times. Be very persistent. BRP covered the TB cost, I paid for labor. Tell them it just shuts off driving down the road and it has put you in a very dangerous situation. Let them know it has done that several times. That's what I did and it wasn't a lie. Because that thing would just decide it would go into Limp Mode and shut down no matter where you were.
