• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help me build a SpyderWeb across America!

Hey Lamonster
I am in for sure--we could take our flag around Missouri for Photo opportunities.
I am not sure how hard it would be to add a photo album but it would be fun sharing its road trip.
question
SO WHERE IS THE FLAG NOW AND WHATS THE DELAY.

count me in for West Coast part !!
Count Oklahoma in, we can do route 66 border to border or any other part of the state, cool idea lamonster.

This was cool idea on a site I use to run. What they did was create a banner with the club logo on it and the idea was to hand off this banner to members in the club all over the U.S. It wound up making it all over the world but it started in America.:doorag:

This is how it will work for us. I will start the banner here in East Tennessee (SpyderLovers Home Base). I will then take it all the way down to Daytona for Bikeweek. If you want to meet me along the way and ride some I will get a picture of you with the SpyderWeb Banner and you can sign the banner as being part of this web. Each member will do the same thing when they have the banner.

I'll hand it off to someone who is willing to get it heading to the tip of FL (The Keys) and then head north with it.

I would like to cover as many states as I can in a years time and at this same time next year give it to BRP as a token of our dedication as SpyderLovers.

I'll setup a board and a map just for this event so you can see where the SpyderWeb is at any given time and volunteer to carry it on. This is all about the ride and it will be a kick to see how far we can move this banner.

If you think you would like to be a part of this please let me know. If you think it's a waste of time I may just have to do it by myself.:D

How about making Two, one send one over to AUSTRALIA and we could do the same thing and send it back to you to give to BRP for us:2thumbs:
Thankyou
Robert

I August I'm going from WI to Quebec to see old friends, I could drop the banner off in Valcourt at the spyder headquarters or I could simply be part of the WI portion.

Let me know wha I could do.

Hawaii??

Okay I am getting caught up in this.

Sooo... If we can work out a date, I will get the darn thing to Hawaii. I have been meaning to ship my bike over to the big island, Hawaii, and do some riding there.

I am not going to Alaska though-too cold for this southern boy.

You know, we know someone that is planning on spydering to Alaska in June I think. I am sure he would love to do this. I'll have to see if we can get hold of him and coordinate it.

Well we are going to be traveling on the Spyder from Cali to Indy then down to Gatlinburg for the rally in September then back along I-40 back home. You can count us as available.

I would like to be part of this as well so if the banner makes its way near Brooklyn NY I am in and would be willing to take it through the city and even to anyone near me to pass it on if have to I have a supporting family and I am sure they would be willing to drive along with me with the wheel chair in the car. So Lamonster I am at your will. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

That sounds like a great trip, maybe next year, bjt and I will get to do some type of cross country trip on our spyder. You be safe and have fun and keep us posted.

I'd love to join in. I was part of the Valkyrie ride that I think you were referring to and took the hammer from OZ, rode it down from Los Angeles to San Ysidro to catch the first of the four corners and then took it over to Arizona.

Cool. I was looking for the page they had setup for that but I can't find it. Do you know where it is?

Yeah, I am so excited about it!

If you make your way out to California make sure you let us know and we could hook up. I also hope we're going to get to meet you guys at the Gatlinburg meet this year.

I would like to do Gatlinburg again this year, mainly to meet up with some Spyder friends and to do some more scenic riding through the Smokies. dltang and I had a great time with it last year. I am plannning on summer of 2010 for our California / Nevada trip. Gotta rub elbows with the celebrity SpyderLovers (stuntman Steve). :D

SpyderGirl, as it gets closer to the Gatlinburg ride this year, maybe dltang and I could arrange to meet up with you in the Indiana portion of your trip and convoy to Gatlinburg with you.

We are leaving the morning of the 18th cuz my parents are driving their car down while we ride the Spyder and we are staying at our timeshare down there. Otherwise that would be cool. They are leaving the resort back to Indy on Monday morning the day the rally starts. If you and the wifey need a place to crash for the week we'll have a spare room at our resort in Pigeon Forge once they are gone. But we will only be there Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday. :2thumbs:

I hope next year we can see you guys when you're out this way. Make sure you say "hi" to all the cows in Nebraska when you ride through. I thought I was going to die of boredom when I drove through there when I moved out here.... 400 miles of NOTHING!!!!!!! Zzzz........
