• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To getting the headlight bulb out of the light compartment? I have the gauge panel off and the end cap is off both lights but I can't unscrew the bulb...it won't budge. Any suggestions?

Is the video on this forum? I thought I had gone through all on this forum and I've googled and there are a handful of videos for the 2009 RS but none on getting the bulb out.

Edit: I went through every video and there isn't one that I saw on the forum addressing my model or an ST with the same lights.

I found the post and the instructions. It looks like I'm going to have to take more of the Tupperware off than just the instrument panel. I don't have enough room to get my hand in there to get the bulb out. It's like its glued in there. The manual said to just turn counterclockwise but it won't budge. I'll give it another try on Wednesday. :banghead:

The manual is correct. Onl need to reove the instrument panel and maybe the windshield if it is an aftermarketshield. It an't easy! Not ver muchroom, but take your time. Have a visua inside the housin with a flashlight. You will be able to see how to twist the socket. Be careful to not drop any of the parts as you remove them. You will need to reuse them. After you have done one, th esecond is a piece of cake. Good luck.

ive changed a lot of head light bulbs and I had to push in and then turn, thats all I know.yes push in on the bulb then turn.

You might need to push in as well as counter clockwise.

Ok, I have not tried pushing in and twisting. I tried both bulbs, my husband tried both bulbs and nothing. It sounds like they should come right out and not be this difficult. Like I said, I won't be able to try this again until Wednesday but I'll post if the pushing and twisting works.

Thanks everyone for the input! It's much appreciated.

Hi make sure the rubber end caps are reinstalled securely
Otherwise, they will fall off on to the exhaust manifold. I know :opps:

RS not RT

At this point, I wish I had an RT. I can find videos on everything for them. I have a 2009 RS and the only thing that gets removed in order to change the bulb is the gauge panel and possibly your windshield. Sounds simple...right? :gaah:
