• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New-to-us ‘15 F3-S has these brackets around the side frame rails. Set screw in them is only finger tight. What were these brackets for? I’m sure something aftermarket, but haven’t figured it out yet. Thx in advance.

Screws? ?

:coffee: I read the post and noticed that you are a second owner. Not sure about the screws given the location.
Any chance of contacting the original owner?

:dontknow: Looks like another type of attachment thing, be it a BRP or something else.
Maybe someone else will have a clue. .....

Another Guess

:chat:...What about a remote connection to your battery?
Just a thought, on my own.
Have fun with it and enjoy some ryde time. .....

It may have been for a drink holder or something like that! Was there one on both sides? Just tighten them up or take them off or reuse them for some thing!!

Sorry I wasn’t as clear with my description last night as I should have been. Yes, there’s one on each side, at roughly the same point on the upper (orange) frame rail. It’s a chromed cuff, with a single set screw protruding from it. My thought was for mounting some kind of lowers, for wind protection. Haven’t found anything like it on vendors’ sites yet. And bought from a dealer, so no previous owner to ask. (Although ... I do have original owner’s name from an open recall check. Hmmm...). Spyder has bar end helmet locks installed, so probably not that. Just thinking someone might recognize these. Thx.

Well - I pulled them off yesterday. STILL have no idea what they are. Each have 2 Allen-headed bolts to hold the two halves together. One side has “300” etched by hand into both halves, and the other has “236” marked into both halves.
