• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP Hot Thighs and Foot......

Spyder Smyles

GOS member (Girls On Spyders)
I rode my 2013 RT-S for the first time in 90degree weather yesterday and I was cooking. Between my right foot getting hotand more importantly my thighs getting extremely hot, so hot I actually had redmarks on them I was having a hard time enjoying the ride. Have any of you had this problem and if sowere you able to correct it? Sure would love to hear any solutions you may haveto these HEAT problems. I have Spyderpops upper heat shield installed because I have Lamonsters highway pegs, and my hubby is going to cut holes in the plastic tonight to try and help with the right foot heat but my biggest concern is my thighs/seat getting so hot. I have a brand new Corbin Lamonster Cut full leather seat on the bike and I was hoping the leather would help keep me cooler than the original seat but I seem to be even hotter. :(

Installed reflective sticky heat shield around RT gas tank; wrap exhaust header pipes

I installed reflective 1100 deg HP Sticky heat shield on front & sides of 2013 Spyder RT-S gas tank, (35"x46" #180025);
Also put sticky heat shield (over top of #2 cylinder) under glovebox, put sticky heatshield inside of middle side panels, that got rid of heat on thighs. heatshieldproducts.com.
Put sticky heatshield extension on lower radiator fan outlet directing heat down & out away from right foot.
(I will put sticky heatshield around gas/fuel lines on left side of cylinders next time panels are off).
Exhaust header pipes were wrapped.
These mods stopped the gas from boiling in the RT tank & pushing gas vapors/smell out the canister after a hot ride. :yes:
(I am not sure how to post photos, pm your email address & I can send photos if interested). Jim (Tucson, Arizona)

Can you provide a more direct link to the product? I went to heatshieldproducts.com and when I entered the info (reflective 1100 degree sticky heat sheild and #180025) it says "Product not found".

Thanks!
