• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK.. got the heating problem fixed but the Mechanic said the plugs are burning white or lean due to the vacuum line deleats and the new air intake. I just replaced the plugs with
DCPR9EIX
I noticed that the idel has droped to about 1/2 of what I am use to :dontknow: does the fuelinjection compensate for the changes in airflow :dontknow: I have JT's Machine shop air intake. jtpollock

As I see it..!!

Changing the air cleaner will not affect your running so much the computers can't adjust for it. The vaccum leaks will. Once you make changes to the fuel/air/exhaust you need to remove the key walk away have coffee return turn on the ignition for a min start her up and let her idle to running temp so the computer can adjust to the change. The idle should always be 1350/1400+/- on the twins so if that has changed you may have to have that sensor checked and buds hooked up...

Thanks I will try the key and walkaway, The dealer hade it pluged in to buds did not get any sensor errors my idle is between 500 and 800 so maybe its just that reset my key has not been removed for about 2 years. thanks jtpollock

I recently fitted JT's air filter & have no change in idle speed. A "lot" noisier though when you open the throttle.

If you're really running that lean, don't ride it until it's fixed. You can do serious ($$$$$) damage.

Did the walkaway with the key, the second time I started my spyder the RPM were back to a more reasonable level and I noticed it seams to be running better :dontknow:
guess I will oull the plugs when I get home see how they look... just happy to be back on the road :chat: thanks jtpollock
