• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmet sun blocker

Back in the dark ages prior to the RevZilla, MotorCycle Superstore and others. Old riders would cover the top portion of the helmet screen with black electrical tape, placed on the inside of the screen. Effective, cheap and easy to apply. Now days I push the visor button on my Nolan helmet and instant sunshade.

Another product for review is the SunVizor. This product attaches to the visor screen and should not affect the visor operation.

Good Luck

I ALSO 'PUSH THE VISOR BUTTON' ON MY HELMETS, BUT SOMETIMES IT'S JUST NOT ENOUGH.... THIS GIVES YOU THAT LITTLE X-TRA HELP IN THOSE SUPER-SUNNY AFTERNOONS....

+1 on the old electrical tape trick. Also, the other cheapskate way is to get a small strip of car window tint film and apply it to the top of the visor. Same idea for pennies a helmet. *INSIDE* where the rain/wind does not rip it off.

I have been there too, that is way I still use the electrical tape, just old fashion.

Good luck

I have used electric tape for most of my riding years. It just seems to be perfectly wide enough to cover the sun.

I have a visor that goes from clear to dark depending on the amount of sunlight. very good and works great. No need for sunglasses and can keep my regular glasses on with no need to change out.

The "Low Sun" can cause more accidents than you'd ever believe... nojoke
I added some windshield tinting film that blocks 95% of the light, to the top inside edge of my visor.
Between that, and the integral sunshield; I can pretty much take up arc-welding as a hobby...

I bought the roll of tinting film for about twelve bucks on EBay.

Window Tint

I was having my rear glass tinted and while in their shop I had my helmet in the truck
I noticed he had several shades of darkness of the tinting material, I picked the dark one
and had him apply some to the top of my shield .... wow works great.

 The first thing I've placed on my last 5 helmets. Wouldn't be without one.

Some of us still do but use the blue painters tape :)

That is what I did also. Works very well.
