Helmet Advice...

Rode today for the first time this year with no jacket... YAY !!!

Anyway, it reminded me how darn hot my helmet was last year. I'm looking for advice on summer helmets with plenty of air circulation for hot weather riding.

I do have a few preferences:

1) Not a full face helmet
2) Flip up shield (my current shield actually disappears into the helmet)
3) Cool in hot weather
4) Did I mention it should be cool in hot weather?

Thumbs up on the Nolan N43. We have the Trilogy and love em. They also have a flip down sun shield, are quiet screaming down the highway and the configurations are aplenty for every ryding event.

Just got my Nolan N43 Trilogy and have riden with it a couple of time - will say it is super quiet. I am using it with the chin guard in place (as a full face). Love the options available for different configurations.:thumbup:

The most vented helmet I own. And their Made in 2011 unlike some models you get that are already 2-3 years old in the box.
Nice Darker inner shaded (Drop Down) visor that is great as the sun sets and leaves plenty of room for Glasses.
Runs a hair smaller than other G Max helmets.

I have a Nolan N43 too: nice helmet but with 2 visors and can be made in a full face, a little noisy on the RT but supportable, comfotable, easy to adapt Bluetooth Look cheap.

Still have a CL33: comfortable, cheap but get old very fast (as Nolans do too!), very noisy on the RT with wind buffering.

Love my Arai Z (now XC?): best comfort ever, stay clean and new for a long time...but expensive! Mine is now over 5 years old so I do not wear it anymore but I am really thinking of buying a new one.

Guess I am a collector helmet and I'd like to try :

I just recently purchased 2 Arai XC-Ram helmets, they are the best most comfortable well ventilated that I have ever owned. These are the next best helmet to a full face. Check them out on line, I purchased from Riders Discount and they did a price match for me. In 40 years I have owned a lot of helmets.
