There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hellooooo.*coughs* :D

OMG SQUEEE!!!

My face hurts...I mean really, really hurts. No matter how hard I try, I can't get this ****-eating grin off my face. I'm in love. Hoo boy...yep, I've been bitten by a nasty blue spyder.

I have more pics, but yeah...I SO did NOT want to give it back.:gaah: I handed the key to the dealer before she expected me back (she gave me 2 hours), told her that if she didn't take it I would get back on and ride home with it, and leave her my car.:roflblack:

*giggles* I pulled a fast one. I made a message on messenger saying I'm in love with a new guy...he's big, strong and sexy. Everyone thought I was having an affair with some bodybuilder dude.:roflblack:

Warning! Taking the Spyder for a test ryde can lead to a torrid love affair. The good news is, he has to stay in the garage! :D

Well..let's see. I've had the three wheels are for pussies, three wheels are for losers, three wheels are for sissies, three wheels are for ppl who can't ride a bike, three wheels are for old ppl...and on and on. There seem to be a lot of ppl out there who are either jealous, or really despise this thing. Or both.:dontknow:

Problem is, at this point in my life, +1 bike = -1 girlfriend. :joke:

:doorag:[/QUOTE]yes, but with the spyder you can easily get another get girlfriend quickly!

Owner of 08 spyder

Do not take this bike off road 4 inch ground clearance. Also the computer that controls the complex functions is far to unreliable. Any one who knows anything about computer circuity knows that the two thing that the electronics can't stand is heat and moisture. This bike is to complex to be reliable to depend on it to perform, it is just a matter of time when it will falter and the repair locations are few and far between and the the techs are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, if I could find a fool to buy my unit it would be gone, but I have put over 4000 dollars in mods on this thing and it is like a black hole that eats money. I wish someone would have hit me in the head when I bought mine and I only have 5399 miles on mine most of the time it has been in the shop and BRP is no help. When I figured out how much each mile cost me not including fuel, it is $4.07 dollars per mile. WTF.

Um...wow. I think I need another drink.:sour:

How come I see more ppl who have had really good luck with these machines vs ones who haven't? Maybe it's just me, but from what I've read, there haven't been a lot of recalls on it; correct me if I'm wrong, being as I'm new to this scene, but in all honesty I would hope that even the avid Spyder riders would come forward who HAVE had issues would point that out, and not just give out the 'this thing is the next best thing to butter!'
Are the techs that daft that they don't take upgrading courses to keep up with the times? I find that rather hard to believe. Every time I go into a bike shop, techs are constantly being sent to courses to cover computer upgrades to the system.
As for mods, I would have to point out that I've sunk in probably the same amount of quid on my dual sport bike; any time someone enters the modification world, the pit is endless as there are always new things coming onto the scene. Just when you think you've got them all, someone comes up with something else. It's not just limited to the Spyder.
I'd really like to know how BRB has let anyone down with this machine; it seems like they back their product...but again, correct me if there is something I've missed. I need to cover every angle possible with truth and facts.

New..B spyder wannabe.

You go for it girl!!! I have had both spyders. The RS was my baby CORVETTE for a good reason. The thing went like abat out of a cave!!! 106 HP. and all under control of the ryder. The power steering units were faulty on the 08's and the 09's All have been replaced and fixed one way or another. My RS was REALLY sensitive after the replacement of the (directional power steering)DPS. But I sold it because it was gona get rusty sitting in the garage!!!I got the RT-S. Has the air shock or bag as I say in the rear. All the other stuff the RS has PLUS. Fronk, Trunk and 2 saddles bags. I did manage to get a rock in the belt of my RS put a hole in the belt. never fazed it. Need the belt thingy from Spyderpops for the RT-S. But I live on a dirt road, a mile and .3 back off paved. I never had problems withthe RS Didn't even know the DPS was a problem till it got changed. The RT-S I have is a 2010 painted RED(of course!!! was black) Len at Cowtown said he had it painted special for me. yeah sure good salesman is Len!!!! The " blades/ ligntening" stuff on hood was the prototype for the Spyderfest Specials. The problem I have had with the 2010 is the PARKING BRAKE!!! the pulley pulls the cable forward and the brake is engaged. The Cable bows up a tad and the thing comes off the pulley!! Well I was in Wi and the darn thing did it to me TWICE!!!! the second time I fixed it with a heavier piece of 90Deg angle over the slot where the cable enters into the pully. DON'T THINK IT WILL COME APART THIS TIME!!!!!! I haven't had ANY other problems with this byke. I suprized myself in that I took off all that plastic and all those screws and got it all back together TWICE with out any left over anything!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! Anyway get a good dealer save up and go for it!!! the RS is a really fun byke NOT for offroading as has been stated. RS should be cheaper than the RT. The RT is a touring byke and has all kinds of goodies that a re really great when traveling. I pulled a BRP trailer with both bykes and had NO problems. The RS and me and trailer weighed in at 1500 lbs. The first trip I took with the RT-S, me and trailer weighed in at 1640lbs this trip Me,trailer andRT-S 1720!!!! I HAVE GOT TO LOSE WT!!!!!Had no problems except the park brake thing which I really think I fixed REALLY good. BTW the :spyder2: has a HUGE canvas for painting the diverseity of all the things painted on these machines is unlimited. Like I said mine was black and the trailer WAS silver Both are REDView attachment 33544View attachment 33545View attachment 33546View attachment 33547 The last pic is when I got to see the RT for the first time. Cowtown had brought it down to Lamonts BBQ so I could see it. Long story there and this is long enough!!! Enjoy your test rydes DON"T take em off road and don't worry about a used one we sell due to health, wealth, or get an RT!!! (as was my case) Good luck and love the blue too.

Spyder Bite

Since your weather won't allow for year-round riding, the 2012's will be out in 3-4 months and you could have one for the next riding season. You'll go crazy if you have to look at it in the garage but not ride it through the winter!:D

Lol, I did that with my dual sport. Bought it in October, rode it for a bit, then it went into hiding for the winter. I'd go and fire it up, sit on it, add stuff to it. It drove me nuts not being able to ride it, but then made it all the more worthwhile when spring finally hit. I think I'm going to have to go back to the dealer and really have a good sit with the owner and shoot stuff back and forth. Guess all I can hope is that he'll be fully honest with me and not just blow stuff up my arse to get a sale. I despise that.:lecturef_smilie:
