There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hello!

Hey, I'm Rob and I am from Long Island, NY. I've been riding since I was 19 years old and in a couple hours I am turning 42! February of 2014 I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and I haven't ridden in two years. I got on my customed out Victory Kingpin 8ball three days ago and realized, after just getting it off the kickstand, that my two wheel days are definitely over.

Needless to say, I was crushed. But there was no way I was giving up riding. So, today I checked out a 2015 Spyder RT limited and fell in love with it. I have way too many blessings in my life to call what I have a disability. To me, it's just a change of course! I look forward to reading and participating here and enjoying myself both on and off this new, amazing machine.

Be well, everyone!

-Rob
I feel for you and know you can do it. I switched to the spyder also due to ms. My wife has it but can stay on the spyder so we both can still have more fun together. Good luck and enjoy.

Glad you are making the switch, I made the switch from bikes to can am for a different reason, my wife had serious anxiety about motorcycle and couldn't ride with me, now she won't let me go alone.

if you ever get to upstate ny, I mean the real upstate above albany let me know I will show you the awesome rides we have upstate
good luck with new spyder

Welcome aboard and congratulations -- on your Spyder and most of all your attitude! With one like yours nothing is insurmountable. Be safe, have fun!

Welcome to the Spyder world of riding, you and I are only one ferry ride away from riding together.
Anytime you feel like meeting up for a ride either I take the Bridgeport ferry to Port Jeff or you do
the reverse to Connecticut, when it warms up of course.

We are always haunting the CT roads! I'll definitely give you a shout!

Thank you

I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome. I was looking forward to getting the RT quite a bit. Now that I know I can get the hand brake, and how cool everyone seems to be here, I can hardly wait now! As far as my attitude, I have no idea where I got it from. I have been notoriously negative most of my life. I just figured so much can be taken away from us in life that there's no need to let our outlook or attitude take even more. Besides, I couldn't find any f*cks to give anymore if I tried turning over stones! lol Live in the blessings and leave the curses behind.

And this is the first place I am coming to when it's picture time. My brother is a pro photog and is chomping at the bit to shoot this amazing machine!

Welcome !!! Rob M.S. won't stop us!!

2010 my wife was struck with the M.S. blow. She thought why me. May 2012 she said to me we need to live now. She told me that she always enjoyed riding on the back of her brothers dirt bike. We saw a commercial on this thing called the Can Am Spyder. I investigated and found out they rented them in New Jersey. The only problem is I never had a motorcycle license. She said get one. I took a motorcycle driving course in July and was ready to go. I called the rental place and booked in August. We fell in love again. Had the Rt for 2 days and put on 550 miles. Her M.S. was put on hold for those 2 days. We couldn't get enough. We rented as often as we could in 2013. Now comes August of 2014 and we just purchased our first bike. A 2014 Rt Limited SE6 Blackcurrant. My wife and myself have a new outlook on things. When times get down and out lets go for a ride and we come back stronger.

We live in Hudson Valley N.Y Her brother has a home in West Hampton L.I. We will be taking the ferry over from Bridgeport to explore the island and head out to Montauk Point. Lets hope the weather changes soon. We are also signed up for Spyder Quest at lake George. Living now with the Spyder has changed us. Screw M.S.

Welcome and congrats,
I joined the spyder ranks in late Jan. 2015
My reason, I have a very bad back, but still have the desire to continue to ride.
The riding position and the design of the spyder gives me a less painful ride.
So I understand fully and wish you many happy and safe miles on your new spyder.
Don't worry if you can't stop smiling for a while, it's just part of owning and riding the spyder.:yes:

Yes! So happy to hear others fighting back and reclaiming their lives! Me and my friends have a motto: FU MS! :2thumbs:

You guys really impress! Enjoy your Spyder and your wife's' words are an inspiration to all of us. Let's all live right now!

Never give up!

I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. My Spyder has given back a freedom I thought was gone forever. My Aunt has MS (lives in Sag Harbor)as well as my buddies wife. Keep up that positive attitude.
