• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello to All from Oakville Ontario

Just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the Spyder community. I'm John Johansen and will be posting under the name JayJay. Have joined the two/three wheel world a little later in life. Lets just say the number resides between 50 & 60. Joined my son in taking the Motorcycle course here in Ontario. Both of us got our M2 back in 2010 and bought motorcycles. As youth have no fear, he has gone off to enjoy everything the motorcycle community has to offer. I on the other hand am more conservative and keep thinking about how the old carcass doesn't recover like it used to and what the consequences would be if a cager didn't look up in time while on their cell. So not to be denied the pleasure I have hedged my bets and purchased a 2013 Spyder RT Limited in Black Currant to be delivered in April. Frankly I can't wait!! I have been reading this forum's threads for months and find it incredibly informative. I look forward to being a contributing member. In the meantime Happy Easter and safe riding to all!!

:congrats: Welcome to the world of spyders. Check out the Facebook page Ontario Spyder Ryders have set up . You will meet lots of other spyder ryders there too.
I always wanted to get a bike but never did now since a neck injury and repair I am more than comfortable on my spyder RT S withSE5. I just got my M(m) license last June.

I am also a member of CMC chapter 089 from Guelph, Ontario (Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers) CMC has welcomed the spyder ryders with open arms and make you feel as much part of the group as it does the two wheelers.

Happy Easter

Congratulations and welcome to Spyder lovers, the most informative place for spyder's on the web. And yes your choice was wise; we just don't bounce as well when going to ground as we did when we were 21!!:roflblack::roflblack::ohyea::clap:

Hey Congratulations on the new Spyder!!

Between fifty and sixty.....you're still a kid!!

Take good care an' keep the shiny side up!!

Hello again from Oakville Ontario.

Thanks one and all for the warm welcome! I had my motorcycle delivered to the dealership on Thursday as trade-in and am now waiting for the call that my Spyder has arrived from the factory and is ready for pickup . Took the opportunity while at the dealer to show my wife "our" new purchase. As I sometimes operate on the philosophy that "it is better to beg for forgiveness  than to ask for permission" it was time to get her buy-in or cancel the deal. Long story short, she is now as happy and excited as I am . Looks like there is going to be a lot of 2 up riding in our future. Something that was never going to happen as long as two wheels were involved.

Safe riding to all and hopefully I will get the opportunity this season to meet some of the nice folks who are a part of the Spyder community :chat:. If this forum is any indication it is going to be a great experience!
