• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello! Just introducing myself

Please be very careful. A test ride on a spyder would be a very good idea. It should be longer than 5 minutes at 10 MPH.

The reason I say this that the Spyder puts out a lot of heat. There are mods to deal with the heat mostly, but I noticed on your blog that you have fibro and several of my friends who ride with fibro have had to bail out on trips due to fibro related heat issues and they do not ride Spyders. Just sayin test ride and have a big smile and a check when your finished
Hi, Mspiv, and thanks for the info (and for checking out my blog post). :) I have noticed a few comments about the heat from the :ani29:, and it is of some concern to me. I do plan to test ride soon, especially since the beginner MSC will be on 2 wheels. Luckily, I live in the country (but very close to the city), so I'll get a really good idea of how much of the heat I'll be able to handle before I try to go on any road trips. Let's hope and  I win one so I don't have to have a big check after test driving! :D

:welcome: to the site. Keep us posted on your pending :spyder2: purchase. As others have said, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Hello Anita, and welcome to a fine group of people. The spyder has opened doors for a lot that would have been afraid or unable to ride for many reasons. After you get the spyder you may not even get to the other 4 things on your "bucket list".

:agree: Welcome aboard!!! :ohyea:

:welcome:

If you think you were addicted before...... just keep hanging out here.........:roflblack:

Don't pay too much heed to negative posts about problems some owners are having... for the most part people are happy Spyder owners... and people don't generally post when everything is going well.... only when they have a problem.....
Hi, FireFly! I do take "the negatives" with a grain of salt, though it is interesting to see how some people get their problems resolved. Oooh, my obsession is already becoming a problem. I might have to find a support group soon. Uhhh... one that will decrease my obsession, not add to it! :roflblack:

Teddy & I would like to say Congrats & Welcome to the SpyderHood

:congrats: & :welcome:
Owning a Spyder can be a life changing event to say the least. One major side effect is how much your face is gonna hurt from smiling so much:p just the price we pay to do what we love. We hope you love yours (once you get one) as much as we do:clap:

:welcome: Anita. You have found the spot for all things :ani29:. The people here are the best and are always willing to help in any way they can. So, sit back, relax, ask questions and enjoy the atmosphere of this site. :2thumbs:   :ohyea:

Hey, Anita! I'm almost a neighbor in Arkansas and I'm glad you said hello. SpyderLovers are a special group of people.

I don't know if you're on Facebook or not, but we've got a closed group called Girls on Spyders. Women-only so you can ask any question you want (and I do mean any ) and these ladies will give you their honest answer. My FB page is Faran SpyderRyder if you want to find me. Then I can add you to the group.:D

:welcome:

I sure can't ride a motorcycle, but my hubby bought me a spyder a year ago and I'm loving every minute of it! I know you will too.

Leslie

I know, right? I couldn't believe what people were saying they paid! I wish I could remember which thread that was so I could link to it. I suppose it could be an area or regional thing. Whew!

Oh yeah, that smile you'll aquire goes along with the Rock Star image you'll get when folks gather to look at your Spyder. nojoke
