• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello from South Africa.

Hello everyone, very nice to be a part of this virtual gathering of like minded individuals. I have had my Se5 for close to a year and as well as I could bore everyone with war stories of the gear box replacement, the DPS replacement
and many other issues that have been discussed ad nauseum on this and other forums, I just want to say that, to me, having a Spyder in the family is a lot like having a red haired step child. You know your life will always be interesting, possibly scary and full of the unexpected but the joy and exhilaration you experience by having it in your life makes up for everything.
Thank you to all of you who continue to regale and educate stepfathers like myself.
Ride safe.

Welcome Sir!! welcome It's cool that the audience for this family has a truly global reach. I think you'll find that there are some pretty fine folks that hang out here, so I think you will enjoy it. You'll have to tell us some road trip stories and such. I would imagine it's pretty amazing having a Spyder in that part of the world. So welcome aboard! :2thumbs:

Insy welcome aboard. remember the longer you own a spyder the better it gets. Wanted to let you know i spent 3 weeks in cape town and 2 weeks in jo burg back in 1967 and loved your country. The friendliest people i met on my world tour with the US Navy were in south africa, and look forward to hopefully returning some day....
