• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello from Indy

Hey guys! Just signed up... love the site already! I just picked up a 2010 Pearl White RS-S, what a beautiful machine! To be brief, the wifey has always feared & forbidden motorcycles- then a couple on a Spyder pulled up beside us at a light. She said, "that's pretty cool"... I said, "would you ride on that?"..."yes"... BLAM! It's in the garage!!! I'm in the process of getting my license, can't wait to share stories and meet some of you. I'll be reading about suitable mods on this site...no doubt will have some dumb question!

Dan

:congrats:

:welcome: & :congrats: on your acquisition. I have been thinking of trading my '09 Phantom SM5 in for an RTS but I love my ryde too much. :dontknow:What to do. ? ? ? ? ? ?

Congrats, nice machine. We also live in Indiana. Didn`t know there were so many of us. We rode to Brown Co. on ours last fall just after we bought it. We all need to get together for a weekend ride in that area. CincySpyder has been wanting to get together somewhere like that also but I think he would ride anywhere as long as Teddy let him come along, you will get that one later, lol. After Spyderfest and seeing all the other women on Spyders my wife sais she is getting here own so I am sure your plan will work.

:congrats: and :welcome: You have a lot of great IN SpyderLovers to meet. Let us know when your wife gets her own Spyder. :D

:welcome: Nice to have another :spyder: in IN. If you want to ride with some great IN Spyder lovers, retread is trying to put together a ride in the Brown County area. He always plans an interesting and scenic route. Go to the IN sight for info and put your name in the pot.

:welcome:

Hello fellow Hoosier. My parents live in Danville, IN, near the west side of Indianapolis. They just purchased a pearl white 2010 RS-S. They came out here and visited us in California and went out and bought a Spyder 6 days later. :D

Hi retread, did you buy your spyder from flatout in martinsville, IN. And how was and is the service there ? :f_spider:
There weren't any dealers in IN when I got my Spyder, bought from a dealer in MI. Flatout just started with BRP, friendly, interested, mine was their first DPS recall, good service.

Wow! What a friendly group! Thanks for all the welcomes! Rather than doing 20 individual responses, here are my thoughts:

*Definitely think my lady will love the RS-S, if not, an RT is in our future
* taking her to see other women DRIVING Spyders could do wonders!- excellent advice
*I considered the Corbin trunk box, but ordered the matching BRP back rest- will do arm rests if she desires
*Brown County is definitely on the short list of rides, especially the Park
*Flatout in Indy was nice, but didn't try very hard to find me a Spyder- ended up buying out of state.
*Trickie, I'm on the Northeast side of Indy at Geist- I'm sure we'll meet up!

Thanks again gang- let the mods begin!!!

welcome and are you goin to the Moto GP in August?? recommend some places to stay that are somewhat legit on the west side.
